SDA Faith Mobile Apps Connect

sabbath school app

It is important to study the Bible every day. One of the pillars of the Adventist Church is the in-depth Bible study programme under the umbrella of the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department.
The challenges that one may encounter is to get a copy of the bi-quarterly textbook and have it at hand every morning. I remember I mistakenly left a copy on the train sometime ago [Later my hope was that someone else would find and keep it to read]
With a smartphone such as iPhone, what I began doing was to go to the Sabbath School website and bookmark the week’s lesson on the phone so that at can study it on the go and refer during the lesson in class.
Fortunately, one doesn’t have to go through any of the aforementioned challenges because there is an app for the Sabbath School lessons now.
Produced by the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department of the General Conference, the Sabbath School app has everything that one will expect.

Study Guides – All the editions such as Adult, Teacher, Collegiate, Cornerstone, Junior, Kindergarten, etc.
Teacher Content – If you are a teacher, you can access the teacher content in all lessons by turning the teacher content on in the settings. Sabbath School Leaders can discover ideas in the Cool Tools section and access the Sabbath School Manual right from the app.
Audio – Now each week’s lesson text has the audio reading of all the lesson and the Bible references embedded in the app. The downside is there are no controls to pause or rewind the player.
Notes - You can make notes alongside the lessons just as you can with your hardcopy.
Favourites - It often happens that you come across a lesson and want to mark it so that you can come back to it in the future. Well the Sabbath School app allows to favourite a lesson. All favourite lessons are then easily accessed in one tab.
Other Resources – Aside the all the above, there are other relevant resources available or being developed in the app. Also included are the Kindergarten and Primary audio podcasts, the Kindergarten animation podcast, the weekly reading of the Collegiate Quarterly, Sabbath School University video, Sabbath School University audio, and podcasts in various languages.
Now you can be smarter and lighter in your Sabbath School lesson study.

So download your free copy of the Sabbath School app for your mobile device and enjoy your lessons on the go.
